Accessibility
Last updated 31 October 2026.
We want everyone to be able to use this website. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. You should be able to:
- make the text bigger, up to twice the size, without losing anything, and use the site on a small phone screen;
- use every page and the family form with a keyboard alone;
- use a screen reader (we test with NVDA and VoiceOver);
- let your browser or password manager fill in your sign-in details, and paste your password;
- use the site in dark mode, and with animations turned off.
What we know is not yet right
- The family form asks one thing per page and saves each page as you go, so you can stop and come back. It does not yet time out, and there is no limit on how long you take.
- We have tested with automated tools and by hand, but not yet with a wide range of disabled people.
If something does not work for you
Email john.haywood@storiedfamily.co.uk and tell us what happened and what you were using. We will reply within two working days, and we can take your family's details by email or over the phone instead.
